Prof. Dr. Rolf van Dick from the Department of Social Psychology at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main told Spiegel magazine: "The easing of coronavirus restrictions should enable people to visit public places more often again (...). But now we see (in a study of 1,000 respondents) that people are also keeping the minimum distance less often and are no longer washing their hands as thoroughly" (Kieselbach, 2020).

The risk of contracting COVID-19 has not been eliminated and could even be increased by simply standing in line and handling cash or bank cards.
