What is MazeMap Workplace Booking+?
Booking+ is the name given to the all-in-one operation of the MazeMap Workplace Platform. The term refers to the combined use of all core modules—desk booking, room booking, and smart parking—along with the platform’s supplementary modules. The "+" refers to features that go beyond simple workspace booking: indoor navigation, workplace analytics, room control, access control, digital signage, and more.
What MazeMap Workplace Booking+ is not
Booking+ is not a standalone software product, nor is it a separate pricing tier or plan. It is not a point solution for individual use cases. Booking+ does not replace an existing Microsoft 365 infrastructure; instead, it integrates bidirectionally with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Microsoft Entra ID). The three core modules—Desk Booking, Room Booking, and Smart Parking—are not separate products; they share the same user interface and booking logic within the MazeMap Workplace platform.
Core modules of the platform
Desk Booking
Booking of flexible workspaces via the web, iOS, and Android. Bookings are made using an interactive floor plan. The module supports auto-checkout if no presence is detected, favorites management, location sharing (opt-in), and sensor-based occupancy analysis for space optimization. Smart Lockers (digital lockers) are available as an add-on module and are booked along with the desk reservation.
Room Booking
Booking of meeting rooms, conference rooms, and common areas. The module is synchronized bidirectionally with Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams Rooms. Resource management takes place directly in Exchange Online—not in a third-party system. An Outlook add-in allows users to book directly from the Outlook calendar. Catering orders can be entered during the same booking step; the system automatically accounts for setup times. There is a separate reference page for the catering management module with full Outlook integration.
Smart Parking
Booking and management of company parking spaces. The module includes integrated access control (access only for individuals with a valid reservation), a billing module for billing at the department or cost center level, and a real-time information system based on sensor data showing current parking space utilization. Push notifications when utilization thresholds are exceeded can be optionally configured.
Additional modules and platform features
Indoor Navigation
Location-based wayfinding within buildings. QR codes provide access to room information (Wi-Fi passwords, user manuals). Useful for new employees and visitors.
Workplace Analytics
Sensor-based analysis of actual space utilization. Real-time and historical data on the occupancy of desks, rooms, and parking spaces. The platform refers to the associated data model as a "Data Cube." Data can be integrated into the company's own systems and dashboards. No-show detection and automatic checkout are integrated into all booking modules.
Digital lockers
Reservation and digital management of lockers, which can be combined with table reservations.
Digital Access Control
App-based access management; integrated into the smart parking module, also available for other areas.
Room control
App-based control of lighting, temperature, and shading in rooms.
Internal Communication
Module for internal notifications and communication within the platform.
Digital Signage
Digital signage and display of room and occupancy information on screens and panels; compatible with Microsoft panels and third-party displays.
Defect Management
Recording and tracking malfunctions and defects in rooms or buildings.
Energy Transparency and Sustainability
Collection and visualization of energy consumption data.

Typical use cases
Consolidation of standalone solutions
Companies that currently use separate tools for desk booking, room management, and parking management are replacing them with a single platform featuring a shared database and a unified user interface.
Hybrid Work in Large Companies
Organizations with flexible work models (desk sharing, remote workdays, part-time work) centrally manage the availability of workstations, meeting rooms, and parking spaces via a single platform—across all locations and countries.
Space optimization based on actual usage data
Workplace Analytics provides sensor-based occupancy data across all types of resources. Facility managers use this data to reduce unused space and to redesign office layouts based on data.
Microsoft 365-native booking without a third-party system
Companies that have fully transitioned to Microsoft 365 can book workstations, meeting rooms, and parking spaces directly from Outlook or Teams—without needing a separate database for Exchange resources in a third-party system.
Multi-site operation
International companies with multiple locations manage all resources and bookings through a single platform instance, complete with location-specific floor plans and a language-specific user interface.
